Musings...photomusings, yes, that’s a good word, it describes what you’ll see here. The musings of an old curmudgeon of a photographer. You'll see some straight photography as well as some highly manipulated images, everything from pets and bugs to architecture and landscapes. There isn’t much that I haven’t tried to photograph. Some spur of the moment others thought out and planned.
This site is divided into 2 sections. Section 1 is the Home page and Galleries, section 2 the Photo-Blog. The galleries are a selection of photographs and art that I’ve done since getting started in photography some 40 plus years ago. The blog is an on going thing of current work and spur of the moment thoughts.
My passion is photographic art, either digital or film, I will admit that most of what I shoot now is digital and every thing ends up digital, film never gets printed any more it’s scanned directly into the computer for post processing.
Photo-manipulation and posterazation are what I do and have done every since I went professional in 1969. Beginning in the dark room and later with in camera masking, now I use the computer and tools like Coral Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Gimp, GIMP is Free Software and a part of the GNU Project. Photography is just different now, more choices in how it gets done and where. Why you can have a good cup of coffee, good music, the dog on my lap, nice office with pictures on the wall no more smelly chemicals. Oh! Do you remember those old toners. Yes! It’s a good thing this digital age.
