So what's all this
The ramblings and photo-musings of an old photographer!
Info
The images in this blog don't nessarlly convey reallity, but are ment to convey the feelings and interpertation of the photographer when the photo was taken (Yea I'm a little wierd, isn't it great). Located in West Michigan, USA, the Grand Rapids area. With over 40 years experiance in the field, 30 years of that as a working professional, having done everything from portrait-wedding to illustrative-commercial photography.
I think the emphasis on equipment is over done, it really doesn't make any difference what brand camera or lens is used as long the image works. As to Photoshop you better believe I use it, it's another tool in my kit, no worse than what we used to do with in camera masking, the darkroom and print retouching.
I started with a Browney Hawkeye, use to save money for flash bulbs and film, was the paparazzi of the 8th grade class in middle school, glad I out grew that. I've used every thing from 35mm half frame to 8"x10" sheet film and they all work just differently. Right now I'm shooting a Canon G6, great little camera always with me, and a Pentax DSLR which is also a great camers. Oh! Yes I still shoot film 35mm and 120. Nikons F2 & F3, Canon A2, Zenit Horizon 202 (35mm panorama) and a Crown Graphic 2 1/4 - 3 1/4 with a roll film back, mostly for black and white. Digital...Film...they're both great, just different.
